The FCPS Parent Resource Center will hold Disability Awareness Day Open House on Friday, October 26, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a workshop Parent Survival – A Special Education Parent’s Perspective from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and exhibitors from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The day will include the workshop, exhibitors, tour of the PRC, lunch, and door prizes. Join us at Dunn Loring Center for Parent Services.
10:00–11:30 a.m. | The workshop Parent Survival - A Special Education Parent's Perspective addresses how parenting a child with special needs can take a toll on physical and mental health, as well as personal relationships. Maintaining a sense of emotional well-being can be difficult. David Trebach, FCPS Social Worker and special education parent, will share stress management techniques and relationship strategies at this free workshop for parents. |
