Finding the Fit: Fostering Success in the Postsecondary World

Wednesday, January 16
7:30 p.m.

Trudy Fleisher, MA, Lab School College Advisor

Kathy Briancon, MA, Lab School Internship Coordinator

Is your high school student ready for college?
How can you promote student self-awareness?
How do you find the best postsecondary program?
Should it be an internship, four year college, a gap year or a job?

This lecture will provide information on the Lab School's transition process. We will offer information on gauging college-readiness and appropriate placements. We will provide suggestions for getting work experience, finding summer internship programs, and developing gap year plans. The ultimate goal is finding the fit that addresses the student's unique profile and also fosters success.

There is no reserved seating. Pre-registration is encouraged,
however; you may show up at the door.

All lectures are offered free of charge.

The lecture will be held in "The Commons" at Lab's Reservoir campus.
4759 Reservoir Road, NW
Washington, DC 20007
